A Reading's Happy Surprise

Writing about pendulums, I’m reminded of a time that me and a friend were sitting in a 24-hour burger restaurant playing with our pendulums. One of the waitresses, we’ll call her “June”, also a friend, took our order and asked us what we were doing.

We explained to her about how pendulums could be used to ask questions of spirit. Thinking it was cool, June asked us a question. She thought she might be pregnant. We asked spirit, using the pendulum as a tool, if our friend was pregnant. The pendulum answered, “Yes” when each of us asked.

June then asked if we could find out if it was a girl, or boy. Shrugging, we both agreed to ask. We thought of two different ways to ask the question. One was by simply asking, “Is the baby a boy?” The pendulum would swing one way for “Yes” and the other for “No”. Another way to ask is to ask the question “Is the baby a boy or a girl?” Then you spin the pendulum one direction telling spirit, “Please spin in this direction for “Boy” followed by spinning the pendulum in the opposite direction telling spirit, “Please spin in this direction for “Girl”. The answer will then be given by the direction the pendulum swings. Spirit told us that June was pregnant with a baby boy.

A little over a week later I ran into June at a local store. She told me that she was checked out by a doctor and told that she wasn’t pregnant. We both shrugged it off as a fun experiment with bad results. Several weeks later June shocked us all when she told us that she was retested. This time the results were that she was pregnant. Several months later June gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

My friend and I didn’t set out for any readings that night, but an impromptu reading, just for fun, turned out to be a happy and memorable experience.
